Viságe can be used to develop feature rich applications that can be deployed to any modern browser with Java Script capabilities, like Internet Explorer, Firefox & Netscape. Applications developed with Viságe have a zero footprint, meaning there is nothing that needs to be pre-installed on your computer – you can simply click on a link and go!

You may elect to develop applications that are targeted specifically for Internet Explorer 6/7, allowing you to fully leverage all of the extensions available for client side processing, and providing extended capabilities through the use of ActiveX controls.

If you are re-developing an existing application for deployment via an intranet, or embarking on a new development, then we believe it is reasonable to specifically target the IE platform because of the superior user experience you will be able to deliver.

The Viságe.Designer is only available from computers with Internet Explorer loaded, as it takes advantage of extensions and capabilities that are currently unique to IE.

It may also be important to know that you can use the Viságe middleware to communicate with any HTTP client, so that Web pages designed and developed with other tools can be enhanced to interact with your multi-valued database environment.
